- Probably the best planetary /countercurrent mixer in the world today
- Best choice for precast plants, both wet and dry cast
- Range from 0.05 to 3 cu. yd. output
- Loading Skip Hoists for all sizes
- Flanged cut-away for easy transport of larger units (model 1875 and
above)
- “Perfect” mixing action gives more throughput, better quality concrete
- Competitive price, fast delivery

- Ideal mixer for all types dry cast, or combination wet and dry
- Up to 30% greater pan volume allows MP to handle true rated load. Others cannot handle their quoted
capacity
- Equal performance on full or partial batches
- No contamination, batch to batch
- Large half-moon cover gives best access and safety of any in its class
- Available with or without skip hoist
- Easy to install moisture sensor

- Large reduction gearbox and oil bath is cool running, good for the life
of the mixer. Others have small,
under-ventilated gears that wear prematurely and will not handle startup
on full load
- Tighter fabrication tolerance allows paddles to run closer to floor and
walls, reducing wear and giving better cleanout
- 11 models from 0.07 to 3.3 cu. yd per batch
- 3 types of liner for different applications

- Pan: fabricated from steel laminations and mounted on X-frame allowing
up to four discharge doors. Door
opening can be limited by a limit switch.
- Models MP1125 and larger have key interlock safety device.
- Lining: Standard lining upgraded
to Ni-Hard cast iron tiles
- Alternatives are regular steel for light duty and chromium carbide
cladded plates for extra heavy duty
- Arms: Mixing Arms in Ni-Hard Cast Iron, Scraper Arms in Regular Steel
Fe52.
- Paddles: Ni-Hard Cast Iron (630
HB)
- Discharge: The discharge doors are hydraulically operated (supplied on
every mixer as standard). Closing is regulated by a pressure switch.

- Custom built gearbox allows paddles to cover every inch of mixer floor
- Three-bladed arms reduce slicing action, mix better and last longer
- Stronger product or saves on cement compared with others
- Fast and complete cleanout without extra cleanout mechanism
- Small scraper blade tail reduces dead zones without compromising
discharge time
- Up to 4 discharge doors. Each has rubber seal, no leakage

- To decide what model of mixer is best for your application we need to
know three things:
- 1st Question: Type of Concrete, type of finished product to be produced.
- 2nd Question: Quantity of
Concrete. It could mean quantity per batch, or per hour depending on the
type of application.
- 3rd Question: In how much Time
- With this information we can identify the right mixer for the
application, after determining the time for each mixing cycle and the
number of mixing cycles per hour.

- The sequence in which the components are loaded into the mixer DOES
MATTER. Depending on the
materials and the product produced, materials should be charged into the
mixer in sequence and as quickly as possible. Note that a fast mixing time is
useless if the mixer is fed from a slow running aggregate conveyor with
no intermediate holding hopper, or a badly designed cement scale that
takes 30 seconds or more to discharge completely.
- We always recommend a DRY MIXING time before water is added, to allow
wet mixing to continue properly.
This does not increase the total cycle time; it DECREASES it because of the better
mixing action.
- You will reap the benefits of fast MP and MAO mixing times if material
can be loaded as follows or faster:
- Aggregate charging: MAX 20 Seconds
- Cement charging : 15 - 20
Seconds
- Water charging : 15 - 20
Seconds

- Machining centers can handle complete twin-shaft mixers – only the
largest manufacturers can afford this.
Result is better quality
- The first ISO 9001 certified mixer company
- Inspection includes automated dimensional checking

- Sicoma outsells all other mixers, worldwide. Annual production exceeds 1000
- Over 2000 Sicoma twin shaft mixers in use – approx. 50% of world total
- Sicoma China currently produces 700 mixers per year, mainly for China,
while Italy produces around 400 mixers per year for the rest of the
world. In China, mixers are run
24 hours per day, are rarely cleaned out and receive little
maintenance. Only the best keep
running
- The Sicoma plants use state of the art fabrication and machining
techniques; their NC machining
centers can accommodate the biggest twin-shaft mixers, ensuring that all
parts fit correctly and do not fail prematurely
- The result is a great product at a great price. Take advantage of this opportunity
